Physicochemical properties: gray black to blue black powder or block. It is obtained by burning aniline, aniline hydrochloride, nitrobenzene and iron or copper to 180-200 ℃, or various components of nitrophenol (nitrocresol), aniline, aniline hydrochloride and iron. It is soluble in oleic acid and stearic acid, soluble in acetone, red purple in gasoline, blue purple in benzene, and dark blue in ethanol and oil. Insoluble in water.
