Physicochemical Properties: yellow or orange crystalline powder or flake. No melting point, about 250 ℃, darkened and carbonized. It is soluble in hot dilute hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, slightly soluble in acetic acid, phenol, pyridine, alkali hydroxide and alkali carbonate solutions, less soluble in ethanol and butanol, slightly soluble in methanol, very slightly soluble in cold water (25 ℃, 0.0016mg/ml), about 1% soluble in boiling water, insoluble in ether, acetone, chloroform and benzene. 1g folic acid suspension in 10ml water, pH 4.0 ~ 4.8. The solution prepared with sodium bicarbonate is pH6.5 ~ 6.8.
