Physicochemical properties: White granular solid or white powdery solid.The solubility varies with the degree of substitution of hydroxyl groups by ethoxyl groups in cellulose.The softening point of the product containing 47% ethoxy is 140 ℃.It is soluble in most organic substances such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, benzene, toluene, xylene, acetone, methanol, ethanol, butanol, 1,2-dichloroethane and carbon tetrachloride. It can be miscible with resin, oil wax and plasticizer. It has no effect on alkali and dilute acid and is insoluble in water.Relative density 1.07 ~ 1.18; Refractive index 1.47; Ethyl cellulose is a non-ionic cellulose ether insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents.It is not easy to burn; Good thermal stability and excellent thermoplastic; No discoloration to sunlight; Good flexibility; Good dielectric property; It has excellent alkali resistance and weak acid resistance; Good anti-aging performance; Good salt resistance, cold resistance and moisture absorption resistance;It is stable for chemicals and does not deteriorate after long-term storage; It can be compatible with many resins and has good compatibility with all plasticizers; It is easy to change color under strong alkaline environment and heating conditions.
