Soluble in benzene, chloroform, nitrobenzene and hot glacial acetic acid, soluble in concentrated hydrogen Halic acid to form halolead acid (h2pbx6). Relative density (D174) 2.228. Melting point 175 ~ 180 ℃. It is oxidizing. There is a possibility of cancer. Avoid contact with skin.
Storage: sealed in ampoules or moistened with glacial acetic acid, sealed in a cool place.
Use: selective oxidant for organic synthesis.
