The concentration of insulin in serum-free medium is generally 5~20mg/l. For different cell lines, the most appropriate concentration needs to be selected.
Insulin is supplied in crystalline powder and frozen below -18 ℃. Dissolve it before use. Generally, hydrochloric acid solution (10mm) is used to make a stock solution containing 1~2mg insulin per 1ml, and then sterilize and filter it. After subpackaging, the filtrate can be stored at -20 ℃ for 6 months. Repeated freezing and thawing should be avoided.
