Purpose: biochemical research. Esterase substrate for histochemical examination. Fluorescent matrix. Live cell staining is used for the study of intracellular interactions and membrane permeability. FDA can penetrate the cell membrane and store in living cells as fluorescein. Since the hydrophilicity of fluorescein is lower than that of BCECF or calcein, the amount of leakage of fluorescein from cells is also high. FDA can also be used for flow cytometry. The excitation and emission wavelengths of fluorescein were 488 nm and 530 nm, respectively.
